Meet Margaret
I started Pampers Grooming Academy with one simple goal — to help people learn dog grooming properly, build confidence, and go on to create a career they enjoy.
Over the years, I’ve worked with students from all backgrounds — many with no experience at all — and supported them as they’ve developed their skills and gone on to work in the industry or run their own successful businesses.
For me, it’s not just about teaching grooming techniques. It’s about making sure every student feels supported, understands what they’re doing, and leaves with the confidence to work on their own.
I’m honest with my students — everyone learns at a different pace, and my focus is on helping each person reach the standard they need to succeed.
There’s nothing better than seeing students come back fully booked, running their own salons, and loving what they do. That’s what makes it all worthwhile.
Meet the Team
Pampers Grooming Academy is led by Margaret, whose passion is helping students grow from complete beginners into confident, successful dog groomers.
With years of hands-on experience in both grooming and teaching, Margaret focuses on practical, real salon training — supporting every student to build their skills, confidence, and understanding at their own pace.
Her qualifications include the Licentiateship of the City & Guilds Institute (LCGI), along with teaching and assessing qualifications, ensuring all training is delivered to a high professional standard.
But more importantly, Margaret is known for her honest, supportive approach — working closely with each student to help them reach their full potential.
A Team That Trains Together
Training at Pampers is supported by a small, experienced team who work alongside students every day in the salon.
Jodie – Salon Manager & Training Support
Jodie supports students throughout their practical training, demonstrating techniques and guiding them through real salon work. Her calm, supportive approach helps students build confidence as they develop their skills.
Kelly – Bathing & Preparation Specialist
Kelly teaches the essential foundations of grooming, including bathing, coat preparation, and drying techniques. Her experience ensures students understand the importance of proper preparation — a key part of achieving high-quality grooms.
A Safe, Supportive Learning Environment
Every member of the team is trained in both pet and human first aid, creating a safe and professional environment for both students and dogs.
We place a strong focus on welfare, ensuring every dog is handled with care, respect, and compassion — something we pass on to every student.
Training That Prepares You for the Real World
From handling and preparation to styling and finishing techniques, training at Pampers is designed to reflect real salon work.
Our goal is simple — to help you leave with the skills, confidence, and experience needed to step into the grooming industry or start your own business.
