Meet the Team

Margaret leads the academy with a passion for raising grooming industry standards through high-quality training, hands-on learning, and genuine support for every student. As an LCGI holder (Licentiateship of the City & Guilds Institute) — a prestigious Level 4 Master Craftsman-level award recognised throughout Europe — she brings advanced expertise, depth of knowledge, and years of experience to the classroom and the grooming table.

With PTLLS for Education and Training, the Level 3 Award in Assessment and Quality Assurance, and numerous additional diplomas and certificates, Margaret is highly qualified to teach, assess, and mentor. She is committed to continual professional development, attending seminars, workshops, and demonstrations each year to ensure her teaching remains aligned with the latest grooming techniques and welfare practices.

As a qualified Pet First Aid Trainer, she also equips students with essential safety and emergency response skills, giving them the confidence to work responsibly and professionally in any salon environment.

A Team That Trains Together

The academy benefits from the combined strengths of a dedicated, experienced team — each playing an important role in student development.

Jodie – Salon Manager, Senior Stylist & Training Support

Jodie holds her Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and has several years of experience within the academy and salon. She supports training by demonstrating practical techniques, guiding students during their hands-on sessions, and sharing her real-world salon knowledge. Her calm, supportive teaching style helps students build confidence as they develop their skills.

Kelly – Senior Bathing & Drying Supervisor & Practical Prep Mentor

With over 10 years in the salon, Kelly teaches students the vital foundations of grooming: correct bathing, coat preparation, drying techniques, and understanding coat condition. Her experience ensures students learn the importance of preparing a dog properly — a crucial part of producing high-quality grooms.

Built on Safety, Quality & Professionalism

Every member of the team has been fully trained at Pampers and is qualified in both Pet First Aid and Human First Aid. This ensures a safe and supportive learning environment where student development and dog welfare are always the top priority. Our welfare-first approach applies to every dog used in training, helping students understand and practice grooming with compassion, confidence, and responsibility.

From advanced styling techniques to salon handling, coat preparation, correct bathing and drying methods, and welfare-focused grooming, Margaret and her team work together to provide a complete, industry-ready education. Their shared experience, practical insight, and supportive teaching style help each student grow at their own pace, building the skills and assurance needed to succeed in the grooming profession.
