After being made redundant I was at a complete loss for what to do next. I wanted a job that I would enjoy doing and was up for a challenge to learn something new. My training at Pampers provided me with the knowledge, skills and hands on experience to succeed in dog grooming. Since completing my course i have gone on to start my own business as a mobile dog groomer. I am enjoying the whole adventure so far, I'm growing in confidence and building up regular customers. It is hard work but very rewarding when you see the owners happy faces.

When I was younger I always wanted to be a hairdresser but then as I got older I had convinced myself that I wouldn’t be able to do it.. 20 years later I find myself grooming dogs! This wouldn’t have been possible without the encouragement, support and kindness from the team at Pampers. 6 months on and I’m busier than I could have imagined, with my doors closed to new dogs. I have made some mistakes but the positive feedback I’ve had from clients has been amazing. One even had their dog stopped on the beach to ask where they had their dog groomed! Thanks again for making my dream become possible. I was fortunate that after the course I went to work with one of the Pampers students, Carla Dunn. It is always a joy to be around like minded people. And I was really lucky in that sense. So far, it has been an amazing journey working as a groomer. I was so happy that I wanted to give a big hug to the owner when she said it is the best haircut the doggy has ever had. One of the most important things I learned from Margaret in Pampers is: don’t be afraid to make mistakes, they make you learn faster and better. And there is always a way to fix it. Many thanks.

After much deliberation as to whether I should leave my job as an employability officer and train to be a dog groomer,I eventually plucked up the courage to do this. My chosen academy was pampers and I was welcomed with enthusiasm and acceptance....(great experience from start to finish) once I achieve my diploma, it was time to get the business up and running. This was a scary time but through time and believing in myself, I eventually built up a full customer list. I am now working successfully from my business at home and enjoying my self employed life as a dog groomer. Can highly recommend if you want to take on the challenge...but be prepared to work hard

Just wanted to send a wee message and pics from when I’ve finished the course!! I went and worked in a wee salon for 6 months to continue working in my grooming skills after what I’d learnt at pampers! Pampers was one of the loveliest happiest experiences after being made redundant and completely changing career- you guys made it really easy and a happy experience!! And now I have my own little salon- fully booked out until October with bookings filling up until Xmas fast! The best thing I’ve ever done was to do the course and train in a new skill- I now work for myself- love my job and my clients so much! I Already have 100 loyal and lovely customers after only being open 3 months Thanks for all you and Danielle’s support!!!

Just to say to anyone thinking about starting training I’d recommend Pampers. Really enjoyed my training. At one point I think Margaret thought she was never getting rid of me lol 😂.
Margaret has great patience and can make anything funny. She also has great taste in music.
Seriously I have now opened my own business from home. Would never have had the confidence to do this without Pampers and I’m truly grateful for all their help and knowledge.
Every customer who has came to me has rebooked with the exception of one person. So that says a lot for someone who thought I’ll never be able to do this. Good luck to anyone just starting training. Youre in good hands.

I felt soooo nervous but went for it.. soon as I got home I started telling people and they told people and people contacted me. My first dog was a Lhasa and a home visit, the lady sat and watched me for 3 + hours while I groomed her dog doing everything I learned in at pampers , I often heard your voice in my head saying “see it now doll” I was shaking with nerves and the best thing was it was my first dog and the lady thanked me so much and told it was the best ever groom her dog had ever had, she was amazed. I’m so grateful to pampers as you actually have changed my life and I’m doing what I love I have learned so much working on my own and it’s often hard as you don’t have someone to ask, but Maraget and Danielle and Kelly is always on the end of the phone to help with any queries or questions and give the best advice.

Pampers to me has really been a life changing experience. The moment I walked in & seen the sea of friendly faces & little Kelly introducing herself I knew it was going to be hard work but also knew I was going to have a lot of fun. The days zoomed by and the dedication that Margaret, Danielle & Kelly gave to everyone on a whole and individually was second to none. They run a very successful business and you don’t make that without sheer dedication and the dedication they pass on to their students.
I was elated when I passed but also sad as being up in Aberdeen I wasn’t going to see these people that I’d become very close too. Back in Aberdeen I got to work straight away building my groom room and putting everything I learned into practice. Like the dedication pampers put into their student I did the same in my new buisness venture. The first month I had just over 20 customers, word got around how good my grooms were and the following month I had around 50 customers. Now not even a year down the line I do between 80-100 dogs a month I get great reviews reoccurring custom & have over 300 plus clients on my books. Pampers will teach you everything you need to know about being a very successful groomer. I love what I do & wished I’d done this years ago & I love the people who helped me achieve this. Thank you Margaret Gray Murphy, Danielle, Kelly & everyone on the course that helped me. If this is what you want to do I promise you won’t be disappointed & the Pampers crew are your springboard to success.xx
